It all started with a snippet of this song, which was rumoured to serve as the first single off of 'The E.N.D'. The rumour was soon infirmed, after Boom Boom Pow 'boomed' in the charts as the first single. The second promotional track has already been announced... the David Guetta-produced 'I Got A Feeling', but it has yet to come out in HQ.

The second CDQ track to be posted on iTunes by the Peas is the full version of Imma Be. Where should I start? Great futuristic track, very good beats, great change of rhytm at the end of the song, very nice Fergie vocals, true style and again a great band doing some top-notch songs. I'm very hyped for the whole album and especially for their next video, which, by the way, was already shot and I'm looking forward to seeing it =)!

Back to the song.. I just love the word play and the cover... brilliant idea.. I'm A Bee...lol!

T.I. is getting ready to re-release his multi-platinum selling album 'Paper Trail' sometime this summer. There will be 5 new tracks on this deluxe version. Possible collaborations with Kanye, Fall Out Boy have already been announced.

This here is the first official single pulled off of the re-release. It's called Don't Forget and it features some massive vocals from the r&b queen herself, Mary J Blige. WOW! What a great track! TIP keeps surprising us with these featured guests, without which his worldwide success probably wouldnt've been the same. I can't help but love the soul and feeling Blige puts into her verses.

The two artists have already shot a video for this track in a secret location. The lyrics fit the current situation like a glove because, for those who don't know, T.I. is going to serve some time in jail in a week or so. He'll be locked up for a year and a day. Very sad news but I'm hoping he'll be back stronger than ever!

Back & Forth is a brand new Brandy track, that recently leaked all over the net. The songstress is currently working on her sixth studio album, set for release somewhere in the fall of '09. This song was produced by Eric Hudson, one of many top producers lined up for the next LP. The likes of Ne-Yo, Stargate & The Game have already been announced. In other news, Brandy is reportedly planning an album with brother Ray J, tentatively titled 'R&B', but it's nothing sure.

This is a great track! I just love Brandy and the power and fresh force she has on every album and song. I'm felt so sorry for her after 'Human' failed to chart for longer period of time. But she declared that it was a too personal album and that's why it didn't do very good, in spite of great reviews and 'Right Here' wasn't even meant to serve as a lead single!

According to my friend, The Prophet, Major Lazer is a new electronic project made up of DJ Diplo & DJ Switch. These 2 guys are currently working on Kelis' upcoming album and they're getting ready to release their own LP this year, titled 'Guns Don't Kill People... Lazers Do'.

Keep It Going Louder (feat. Ricky Blaze & Nina Sky) is a brand new track that will supposedly be featured on the album. The reason I love this one is none other then girl group Nina Sky, which I personally love since the 'Move Ya Body' times. It's a nice joint, good for the clubs and very up-tempo and catchy.

The World We Live In is the next official single pulled off The Killers' album, 'Day & Age'. The video premiered on May 15th and the shoot took place in Banff, Canada.

I've never been a huge fan of this band, but lately they've impressed me with their live showings, singles, videos and everything they do overall. Maybe I'll check them out, especially after listening to this track and watching the video. It was shot in an abandoned building in Banff, which kinda pictures the world around as at this stage.

German dance group Cascada are getting ready to release their third studio album, called 'Evacuate the Dancefloor'. After selling aproximately 4 million copies worldwide with their first two materials, success is almost guaranteed after you listen their latest!

The lead single has the same name as the album, Evacuate the Dancefloor and it has a funny vibe to it. It premiered on a British radio station today and I'm very happy with what I'm hearing. The band members declared that this next material will be filled with some hot tracks, having a diff sound. I like the fact that they changed their style and took a break from the Eurodance genre. It seems that this is a more commercial approach and it will deff bring them a lot of airpaly and good critics.

The video has already been shot in LA and it will premiere on May 17th!

Legalize Me is the first official single pulled off this material. I'm really not feeling it... I mean, it's a very mediocre song, compared to other offerings on the music scene nowadays and her voice doesn't help too much, not having a very strong tone. Anyway, the vid has already been shot and you can watch a short 'On the Set' footage here.

Why R U? is the lead single off of her upcoming material, 'In Love & War'. It was produced by Buchanans and it's a great track! Nice funk sound on the background and trust me when I say it received massive acclaims since it's release. Some are even comparing it to one of Mary J.'s classics 'What's the 411?'. This new style really fits her and when I sit and reminisce of the '1 Thing' period of time in her life I can't help but wonder why isn't she a constant presence on the music scene. Wanna bet that this is another big break for her?

This brand new J. Lo. track leaked a while ago and I gotta say it's a nice leak.. lol. After some stirring up in heaven with all the Marc Anthony and family so-called 'break-up drama', the latino songstress might release a greatest hits album.

This here is a new song, called What Is Love. It was written by Wynter Gordon, which actually had the nerve to bash Jennifer's version, but that's another story. I really love this one! It sounds very good and miss Lopez really has a nice voice. I'm hoping that this is what she'll be offering in her upcoming career years.

Justin Timberlake's most fresh 'apprentice' is really set on taking over the music charts.

The first Esmee Denters single finally premiered its video a few days ago and I gotta say I'm surprised. I was expecting some 'Hannah Montana'-like childish stuff but I'm happy to say that my expectations were surpassed by far. The chick image that she shows in here is a great one. She looks very good and this pop-raunchy video really made me dig the song even more. Her voice sounds promising too and with a bit of luck she might just make it big.

Another artist out promoting it's recent effort is r&b vixen Ciara. With her 'Fantasy Ride' LP out since a few days ago, she's now going all over and performing.

Last night she was on Saturday Night Live, where she performed 'Never Ever' and 'Love Sex Magic' together with wonder boy Justin Timberlake.

Justin was one of the special guests on SNL, making the latter performance a great one.
I'm gonna judge what I'm seeing as a fan of CiCi that's wondering whether to buy 'FR' or not. My verdict: I'm deff buying this one! The girl did a fantastic job with this two performances. Great vocals and especially great moves. Hands down for an amazing show... she is really selling her material the right way! Good job lady!

Random: If JT seems a little stiff behind the keyboard just think about the fact that Jessica Biel was there keeping a close eye on him...lol.

The BEP perform 'I Got A Feeling' - Brand New 'The E.N.D' Single!

The Black Eyed Peas were invited as performers at the Summer Kick-Off Concert in San Diego. Hot on the promotional trail of their upcoming studio album, 'The E.N.D', they performed a brand new song off the material, called I Got A Feeling!
I'm not gonna mention the fact they they were amazing as always and delivered a great show!... there I said it..lol. But the song is great! I thought that this album was going to be made out of 'Boom Boom Pow'-like tracks... guess I was wrong. Feel the European dance vibe? It was produced by French DJ David Guetta and if it's things like this that the guys have in store for us, all hail the Black Eyed Peas!

I'll post the full HQ version as soon as it comes out!

Ciara has officially announced the next single off of 'Fantasy Ride'. After the floor-filler 'Love Sex Magic' was, this works just perfect as an up-tempo ballad.

It's a great song and I trully believe that it's one of the high points that the album has to offer. With a romantic message and a nice beat it should have no problem gaining the succes that the JT collabo had, reaching Top 10 in various countries.

Meanwhile, we're all eager to find out what 'FR' will be doing on the sales part. It's out since May 5th and most of the fans and critics are waiting for the sale numbers, especially after so many pushbacks. She is now in a direct fight with Chrisette Michelle for this week.

The 'fantastic duo' reunite once more for what I hope to be a future single. This time, Wyclef is the main star on the track called The Border. It's not known yet if it's a new track or a leftover from a previous album or recording.
What we do know is that it's been produced by Timbaland. And the moment couldnt've been better. If this is actually a new single, it will deff tip the charts as a summer hit. And, even though I don't think that it'll manage to surpass the hype and success of 'Hips Don't Lie', it still has a nice party-jam vibe to it, which is enjoyable.

Pop-rock American band Cobra Starship are getting ready to release their third album, 'Hot Mess'. An official release date has yet to be announced. We have here the first single off this upcoming material. It's called (I Make) Good Girls Go Bad and it features none other than Leighton Meester, aka Blair Waldorf from the too-popular 'Gossip Girl' series.

The track is great. I just love the tempo it has... it gets you dancing and it's very radio friendly. Surprisingly, Leighton sounds very good here and she fits like a glove on this.

By the way, she's currently working on her debut album with great producers, such as JR Rotem & Polow Da Don, who have wrote for international artists, like Fergie and Sean Kingston, among others. I think she'll do good if she keeps this style.

Flo Rida is out promoting latest single Sugar, off 'R.O.O.T.S.'. Last night he was on Jimmy Kimmel's show, together with Wynter Gordon, where they performed the 'sweet' song.

Nice performance, but what about Wynter?!?! I wanna hear her voice, not her voice over the song. That I didn't like. Still, the song jumped on Number 5 on Billboard 100 this week so it's already a hit. Stay tuned for the vid, which should come out anyday now.

Pussycat Dolls Drama strikes... Again

As most of you already know, the all-girl group Pussycat Dolls has been involved in some serious drama and gossip lately. And, unless you've been living under a rock, you know that everybody's talking 'round about a specific Nicole Scherzinger, the lead singer of the group.

Let me fill you in... it all started with the release of 'Doll Domination', the girls' second album. As soon as it came out, fans and critics alike were a bit harsh with the material, because Scherzinger received too much credit and she was singing most of the songs by herself, with the other girls sometimes not eve opening their mouths for the smallest sound. In spite of the solo tracks, that each doll recorded, mouths were still chatting about a 'Nicole Domination', which was set to soon light up some harsh moments.

After going on tour to promote their newly released album and after having some sold-out shows all-over Europe, the girls were headed to the U.S, where they would support Britney on her 'Circus' tour. Meanwhile, another single was released, 'Jai Ho!'... and there was a very interesting line in the promotional cover: 'feat. Nicole Scherzinger'. Weird, considering that they were all a group. Still, it was left aside and it was thought that it was all just a mess, mostly 'cause Nicole wrote the song herself and sung it herself and that's why she was exclusively featured. All good, until the release of their next single's cover: 'Hush Hush (Pussycat Dolls feat. Nicole Scherzinger)'. Again, the same thing.

Until now, things were already heated up. Sources claim that the group wasn't all that friend-ish behind the scenes and only showed their happy faces whilst on stage. The dolls were invited to many shows and gave a lot of interviews to confront these rumours and clear the air, one of them being their latest radio interview, which you can listen to HERE! Really good job of covering up... that's if there was anything to cover.

Here is a recent burst that Melody Thornton had at a concert in Phoenix, Arizona, her and Ashlee Roberts' home town... deff the boiling point.

She sounded dead serios and she even seemed angry about it. From the gestures, to her voice tone and the high-fiving with friend Jessica Sutta, it all seemed freakin' weird!

My spin on this drama is: I trully think that this isn't Nicole's fault. Their record company is the one to blame. The girls knew what they were signing up for... and hey, let them be mad, they have every reason to do that. Go insane, go beat someone up... but don't get upset on Nicole. I trully don't want to believe that she is behind all this or that she is hand in hand with the record company. She's the lead singer, it's her job to be up-front in the shows and have most of the say.
I feel like 'Pussycat World' is coming to an end... too bad. Maybe with their 3rd album they'll be back on track. But I'll say it again: I don't think Scherzinger is the reason that all of this is happening... blame it on the rec company. They don't know how to show the talents that the other girls have.

Here's to a bright future for them...

And this time he keeps it the same way, not dissapointing. His next album, 'Imperial Blaze', is set to hit stores on August 18th! The first single premiered a few hours ago and it is pure fire. It's called So Fine and it's produced by Stephen 'Di Genius' McGregor.

Ah...really glad to have him back and looking forward to his entire new album!

I was hoping for the vid to have a little story to it or something like that, but I'm very happy that Kanye decided to show some amazing sights that our planet has to offer and to describe them with one word: amazing! It was shot entirely in Hawaii, so just lay back and watch these great show!

Beyonce served up as a guest on Letterman's show last night. She was there to promote her new movie, 'Obsessed', talk about the American leg of the 'I Am.. Tour'. She also chatted about her sister, Solange and gave a live performance of the up-lifting 'church-choir-like'-anthem, Halo.

Very nice interview. It was good to see and hear a more open-minded Beyonce, total opposite of the image she promotes with the 'Sasha Fierce' dark-minded side.

I can't help but like Bee more and more after seeing her perform this way. I mean, she had great energy here and was in justice with the message of the song. It was clear that she put her soul into the performace... just watch her face and all her hand gestures. And once more, the vocals were outstanding.

Again with auto-tune, the rapper turns this one into a nice mixture of pop & hip-hop, which will most probably get Jesse some airplay on the Urban radio stations.

The sound McCartney is delivering lately is kinda like a breath of fresh air on the current music scene, making his music very listenable and quite enjoyable. Deff waiting for more from him and after the eventual video release for this single I'm hoping he'll be out with a new album, as good as his latest.

This is the official cover of Eminem's highly anticipated sixth studio album, Relapse. The photo shows his face made up of thousands of pills, reminiscent of his addiction. I like the idea... very inspired. And also, zoom in on the prescription in the low-left corner... another good move.

Here's a statement that Em gave in an interview for a summer magazine issue, related to his drug problems:

"But, for some reason, in hindsight, the way I felt was almost like [Proof's death] happened to just me … I just went into such a dark place that, with everything, the drugs, my thoughts, everything. [sic] And the more drugs I consumed, and it was all depressants I was taking, the more depressed I became, the more self-loathing I became…"

Jamie Foxx has decided to release this Timbaland produced track, I Don't Need It, as his 4th single. The first three choices didn't enjoy such a huge succes in mainstream, his best achievement being spot no. 5 on Billboard Hot 100 with 'Blame It', but he kinda played it right in the Hip Hop/R&B zone, with 'Intuition' reaching number one; I'm hoping that he'll do better this time around.
I'm not blown away at all, I was expecting a little bit more than those typical and immortal Timbo beats. After a few listens it grows, but I'm waiting for the vid to come out to see if makes the track a better listening tune.

Amazon offers us an exclusive preview of Ciara's upcoming LP, 'Fantasy Ride', out May 5th!! After listening a few seconds from each track on this album, I'm very bummed as to why they kept the good and the best stuff for the end and put out so weak promoting tracks, which wouldn't, in anyway, do justice to how good the material is. I mean, there are some very sick beats here, and CiCi might strike gold with this one, but only with a fair single choice.
There are some tracks like 'Work (feat. Missy Elliott)', this 'Promise'-like 'Tell Me What Your Name Is' and the previously leaked 'G Is For Girl (A-Z)' that deff deserve every bit of attention. And don't even get me started on each other song off this album, 'cause I deff have tons of good stuff to say!

100 'Single Ladies' take London by Surprise

100 ladies (most of them single... lol) took downtown London by surprise when, at the sound of a whistle blow, they stripped down and performed Bee's by now iconic and almost-too-famous 'Single Ladies' dance routine, which is taking the web world by storm even though it's been a few months since it came out.

The meaning of this innovative campaign was to inform people about the free concert that Beyonce will be holding at the infamous O2 arena in November. It's going to bee a free gig and since the whole thing was sponsored by Trident, the only assignemt one should fulfill to get a chance at entering the concert is to buy a pack of Trident Gum. (Contest open only for UK residents).

Ok... leaving aside the contest, I have to say I am pleasantly suprised by this kind of promotion. I find this whole dance routine idea truly outstanding and it really got everyone's attention through it's spectacle and huge number of participants in perfect sync. The part I loved the most is when all the girls take off at the end like nothing happened 'til then... lol. Let's have some more moments like this!

Lady GaGa is currently promoting her material throughout Europe and after many live performances of 'Poker Face' in England & Germany she stopped by a radio station in the UK at the beginning of this week, where she offered her own rendition of Coldplay's 2008 smash hit, 'Viva La Vida'.

What a nice performance that was... I really didn't expect her to do so well. When she messed up the lyrics she had the ability to come out of that just perfect, like a true artist and simply went on with the song. I'm already used to her non-sense screaming while performing and although I really don't dig the outfit she sported at the show, I'm trying to only listen to the performance. And exactly like she said: 'otherwise it's a good job'; you're damn right...

Here is the official artwork for Hush Hush, the official next single from Pussycat Dolls. It has the same style that DD imposed and haters are already talking trash about it. And I'm gonna say this once more: the reason that 'feat. Nicole Scherzinger' is written there is to highlight the fact that Nic is the only one singing and the other girls are just dancing; just like 'Jai Ho!'.

Anyway... Robin Antin, founder of PCD declared that this will be the greatest video that the girls ever made and it will feature a lot of cameos, including one with Perez Hilton. The shoot will take place in 2 weeks. And Robin also said that the next album will feature more vocals, especially from Jessica & Melody, so I'm looking forward to everything they're planning.

And check out this live performance of 'Jai Ho!' that recently took place on Ellen DeGeneres' show. It might even be their best interpretation of this song yet, with great vocals from Nicole.

This here is a newly leaked Keri Hilson track. It didn't make the final cut on her debut album, 'In A Perfect World...', which currently isn't doing too well with sales, dropping to 15 this week on Billboard 200.

It's an up-tempo track, with a nice beat to it. I don't get why they left it out. Some think the song isn't all that great, some like it (count me in) and the least you can say about it is that it shouts out a very important message to all youngsters these days: safe sex... yeah, you heard it right, that's what it promotes. In a slick way, but still... at least it does something good... lol.

Another video released today is Ne-Yo's Part of the List. This is the 4th single pulled off his succesful album 'Year of the Gentleman' and the second ballad to be promoted. Hopefully it will be more succesful 'cause it deff deserves a good chart run.

The vid is just superb. From the message to the way they captured the whole thing is just great. The story is followed in little bits, with very much attention paid to, apparently, insignificant details that end up being the creme of the whole thing. The finale is very interesting and hopefully we'll see a 'part 2' in one of his next singles.
Ah... I don't think I should mention once more that the track is just fabolous!

So... Kelly Clarkson decided sometime ago to promote I Do Not Hook Up as the second single pulled off her comeback album, 'All I Ever Wanted'. The video was shot this last month and it was directed by Bryan Barber.

If you didn't already know, this track was originally meant for Katy Perry, but she didn't want to place it in her album so Kelly decided to have it as a final cut on her effort. Ha... would've loved to hear this from Katy's mouth.

Nice job, Will, but could've been better.

The photo at the beginning of this post is one of the first looks we get from the actual vid for BBP. It's a picture taken on set and Mr. Dippy from Dipdive tells us that the vid will come out 'sometime SOON'. I would really like to know what 'soon' means 'cause I'm actually dying here!

The Pussycat Dolls are releasing single no. 5 off their latest album, 'Doll Domination'. Hush Hush has been chosen for promotion. It's a been a fan favorite from the very beginning and it even charted in some countries (for example, Russia, where it hit number 1). I can't tell you though if they are going to release the official version, or the remixed one that they promoted while on tour; American radio stations have announced that both are going to be promoted, so there still is a question mark there.
The single will be up for grabs after it's official release, on April 28th, and also a video will be shot, with the same guy that produced WIGU and IHTP being in charge, Joseph Khan.

Let me remind you that the Dolls are re-releasing DD under the name 'Doll Domination 2.0' and they are also planning an extension of the 'DD Tour', coming back in Europe for an extra number of concerts.

South Koreean singer, BoA, has just released her second video in her attempt to conquer the U.S. Teaming up with Sean Garrett, here comes the vid for the latest single pulled off 'BoA', I Did It For Love.
The song itself sounds good and it's worth listening, but the video is far from perfect. First of all, I love the fact that the girl is a great dancer, but let the people see that. Don't dress her all black and make the background black too and hope for a relaxed watch. At moments, the dancing and the setting merge as one and it's kinda to tell all the moves. Deff lacking inspiration when choosing the scenery.
And also, is it just me... or does the ending strike a resemblance with RiRi's 'Umbrella'?... lol

Back to the track I've posted here; it's pulled off the same debut album and it really has a different sound. I didn't expect to like this one but it's surprisingly good, even with all the extra auto-tune. After a few spins, it really got me hoping it will be released as a single. Keri also sounds hot here.

Jesse McCartney re-released his 3rd studio album under the name 'Departure: Recharged' on April 7th. His 4th overall single and the first one pulled off this new edition has already been anounced and it's going to be Body Language.
Nothing new about the song, meaning it's Jesse's style, that made him famous. Still, I can't stop listening to it because of the catchy backing track. He described this song as 'Leavin part 2'... he might be right. This demo track has been out and about in the internet for a few days, but just today I had the curiosity of playing it 'til the end. No word on the purpose of this recording... is it GaGa's track? Or just another Rihanna leaked song, supposedly from her next album?
Anyway, either Hollywood loves auto-tune and other voice modifiers, either these are just 2 girls that happen to sound a little bit like the originals, 'cause I can't quite put my finger that it's really the two of them singing.
The track isn't all that, but still, a collabo between these two vixens would be hot!

So... as predicted last week, The Black Eyed Peas have taken the top spot on the Top 100 with 'Boom Boom Pow', earning 465.000 digital downloads in one week only and managing to gain a few more spots on Mediabase (airplay), reaching number 8... for now. It's good to see them on top. And keep in mind that this is their first ever number 1! And like I told you in a previous post, Kid Cudi has now caught up with the top 10 pack and gets the No. 7 this week with 'Day'N'Nite'. The other new entry in this leader group are The Fray, with 'You Found Me', climbing 14-9.
Four new entries in the Top 200 album sales this week: Prince goes in directly at No. 2 with his 3-CD release, Diana Krall with 'Quiet Nights' is at 3; a little bit lower comes 'UGK 4 Life' and Flo Rida manages to sell only 55k copies of 'R.O.O.T.S', which earn him the 8th spot. Since last week, Keri's album sales have dropped 33%, so she gets knocked down 4-11... her world is not so perfect anymore... lol!
No big surprises this time around and the favourites have each earned their place in the chart. Now we'll have to wait and see if next week will arrive with any new stuff...

Black Eyed Peas 'Boom Boom Pow' - On the Set!

The Peas are ready to release the video for their latest electro-funky single, Boom Boom Pow! MTV went behind the scenes with the band and thanks to them we get to see what the vid will be like. A great futuristic concept, as Fergie and the others declared.
It looks amazing... I'm really into that routine thing they're talking about and after seeing this I realise how much I wanted them to get back together and I bet that this video is gonna rip the charts apart.
On a random note, the song has jumped to #1 on Billboard Top 100 after 465.000 digital sales in one week!

According to AllAccess, Sean Kingston's brand new single is called Fire Burning and is set to go out for radio airplay next week. It's the first track pulled off his second studio album, called 'Tomorrow', which will be out for sale somewhere this summer, so a final date has yet to be announced.

It's a decent track, kinda dance-style and different of what we were used to hearing from Sean. Produced by hitmaker RedOne, it's not something spectacular, but with good promotion and a worthy video, maybe it will become a club hit at least.

It's actually happening!!! I can't believe my eyes, years, whatever... No Doubt is back!!!!! I haven't heard something new from them from... I dunnow.. 2001?! Has it actually been that long? I can't even tell you how much I missed them.

Here is their brand new single, called Stand and Deliver, a cover after a 1980's song, and it's set to be one of the cuts from their 2010 album!! This summer they're going on tour throughout America, with opening acts like Paramore, The Sounds and others.

It's amazing to hear new songs from these guys. Since 2001, Gwen was flaunting her stuff in her solo career, which proved to be a smashing success. After happily gaining everything she wanted both on a professional and a personal level she decided to join the gang and start a new age.

It's an amazing ballad and it really proves that the guy has an amazing voice. The message he sends is very beautiful and what I like the most about him is the way he manages to play his emotions and thoughts in such songs like this... brilliant!

Nicole Scherzinger served up as a guest star at Wrestlemania 25 to perform 'America the Beautiful' for the 25th anniversary of the entertainment show. The rendition was beautiful... it really shows that she has the skills of an opera singer. She was a little bit off in some places, but hey, other famous singers have been off a lot more times and no one screamed at them.

She's got an amazing strong voice and I just love the way she put her touch on this! Breath-taking performance!

Eminem's brand new video for We Made You finally premiered a few hours ago. After an almost 4-year long hiatus, he's back better than ever... or at least that's what I like to think, 'cause it's kinda obvious that he lost that 'special something' spark he had years ago.

Anyway, after a few listens the track really becomes cool, so it's a deff grower. Em uses the same vid style and makes fun of a lot of today's celebrities: Amy Winehouse, Kim Kardashian, Lindsay Lohan, Jessica Alba, Sarah Palin, just to name a few and also laughs at 'Star Trek' and 'Rain Man'.
The vid features some cameos from Dr. Dre & 50 Cent and it deff makes the song seem way better, so maybe it'll help this white rapper boy to go back up the charts. What do you think?

Because of that it seems she decided to go back to her roots and sing those catchy, rythmic latino songs! This one deff suits her better and, who knows, maybe it will finally be her break. Some even say that this will be the official first single off the album.

Billboard Update

Another week has passed and changes have taken place a lot in this week's charts. After.. I dunnow..9 or 10 weeks atop the Hot 100, Flo Rida has fallen one spot to number 2, and handed the trophy to Lady GaGa's 'Pokerface', making this young lady the first artist in 10 years to reach first place with the first too singles released. Surprisingly, Soulja Boy & Sammie hang in there at number 3, surpassing far more popular duo T.I. & JT. And the other Justin collabo, Ciara's 'Love Sex Magic' takes a 27-10 leap being the sales gainer of the week.
As for the album sales, the 'Now That's What I Call Music' compilation storms in at #1 with aprox. 150k units sold. Keri's first album is in directly at number 4 with 94k, making her debut a succesful one and Lady GaGa scores another hit just by simply holding on at number 7, with 45000 copies sold (more than some artist sell in the first week... lol).
So, important week for some and a let down for others. All we know for sure is that GaGa will enjoy the sweet taste of victory one week only, thanks to the Black Eyed Peas, who will land directly at 1, making 'Boom Boom Pow' their first chart-topper ever, after more than 400.000 digital downloads, not even counting the airplay. And beware of Prince's 3-disc release, threatening to rule the album chart.

Here is the single version of Beyonce's one of two upcoming singles, Ego. After promoting the song in her 'I Am' tour, the remix finally leaked. What can I say? It sounds the same, there was absolutely no change to the instrumental, the only diff being Kanye's part.
It's no doubt the man has rapping skills and I love the way he comes in here and the things he says, but at a moment one could have the impression that he lingers throughout the beginning and almost takes up half of the track (after all, he actually has a huge ego... lol). Anyway, still cool.

Chief Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger says her long-awaited solo album "may come more sooner than later," but after two years of projected release dates and delays she's not about to set one now.

"I think it'll just come out when it wants to come out, on its own," Scherzinger tells Billboard.com. "I'm still working on my album, and I'm very excited. I'm a relentless perfectionist. I get one chance to put out a first (solo) album, so when the right time comes I will put it out."

Scherzinger has been working on the album, tentatively titled "My Name is Nicole," since 2006. She's released several singles -- "Whatever U Like," "Baby Love," "Puakenikeni" and "Supervillian" -- while several of the other songs considered for the project turned up on the Dolls' 2008 released "Doll Domination." The current incarnation of the album, she says, "is just in the works and in talks and in the writing process. I haven't started recording yet." She hopes to hit the studio in the summer, after the Dolls finish their run opening for Britney Spears and then tour Europe again.

"I'll be excited to get back with old friends -- will.i.am., Timbaland," says Scherzinger. She also plans to work with good pal Lady Gaga and hopes to continue a new association with Academy Award-winning Indian composer A.R. Rahman, who collaborated with Scherzinger and the Dolls on an English version of his "Slumdog Millionaire" track "Jai Ho!"

Hmmm... interesting. After really flopping last year with the release of first 3 singles it really takes some guts to try your luck once more, especially when people really identify you as being part of a group. Still, I declare myself happy, 'cause I also liked the production of her previous efforts and how everything turned out to sound like. And anyway, she also declared sometime ago that she'll do a parallel job with working on her solo album, the group's album and also maybe produce solo albums for the other girls. Really looking forward to some of her new stuff.

So... Mario is slowly preparing the release of his 4th album, 'And Then There Was Me'. This one here is another track that supposedly made it on the album: Break Up (feat. Sean Garrett & Gucci Mane). After the previous leak, that was like a breath of fresh air after too much time spent under water, this one is deff a low-low.

After reading 'Sean Garrett' in the title, I thought it would be something worth listening, but then I remembered that the producer hasn't exactly been on his streak of hits recently. So, there was no surprise when hitting 'play'. The track is just not good... at all! I mean, Mario has a great talent and he is, no doubt, one of the greatest talents r&b has to offer these days.
But turning to something like this for your comeback album really doesn't make you a great artist, also considering that no part whatsoever manages to 'put the finger' on your great voice. A real let down!

New Artist: Esmee Denters

Esmee Denters is an upcoming Dutch artist, best known for her YouTube videos, where she used to cover many famous songs. She was noticed in August 2006 and since then, her career is heading North with no sign of stopping anywhere low.
In 2007, her manager arranged so that she would personally meet Justin Timberlake. She was immediately signed to his record company, Tenman Records and she was selected to open for Justin in 10 venues throughout Europe, being the first artist ever to jump from YouTube star-wannabe to performing on a major stage.
She was also invited on Oprah's show, on a special edition dedicated to the upcoming internet stars. In the summer of '09 she will go on tour with Alesha Dixon & Enrique Iglesias. She already recorded a duet with Justin, called Follow My Lead and also, her first official single was announced. It's called Outta Here, and the music video was shot on March 25th.

Personally, I don't consider her to be a huge talent. And I don't get how one gets to meet JT and sign his record company straight from the status of wanna-be. I guess it was her break... maybe she won't be that big, but considering that her tunes 'til now are catchy and she can handle a live show, maybe we'll get to hear more from her.

The Pussycat Dolls filmed a commercial break for the German TV station PRO7. What was thought to be a shoot for 'Takin' Over the World', turned out to be just a promoting campaign for the station's saying: 'We Love To Entertain You'.
Using TOTW, the girls changed the lyrics so to fit the original song. And the result is amazing. And I mean the visuals that came out. Great future theme and the directing of the whole commercial is great. It even looks better than some of their previous videos...lol. Still, I'm hoping this isn't it and waiting for the full-length version 'cause they really made me curious.

Britney Spears - Radar [possible new single]

Unofficial sources claim that the 4th single pulled off 'Circus' might be none other than Radar. Maybe this is the actual reason it's been posted as a bonus track on the latest material and appeared on the standard edition of Britney's 'Blackout'.
Anyway, this is weird. I mean, in the 'Blackout' era there was another rumour that this was going to be an upcoming single, but it all fell apart. And after all, not all 'Circus' buyers get to enjoy radar, being only on the Deluxe Edition. Still, it would be a good choice for a single..up-tempo, really pop-ish... but what about those ballads like 'Unusual You' or 'Out From Under' which would also make great hits.
We'll wait and see. What do you think of Radar?

So, seems like after all this is the official cover for the Peas' latest single, Boom Boom Pow. Some say the actual official cover is gonna out in the same time with the video and that these are just... I don't know... teasers.

Anyway, let be how it may, I declare myself pleased with offerings from the band these days. The track is set to go out for sale on iTunes on Monday and so far it's doing very good on radio charts. Also, here is the promotional picture of the 4 members, that showed up a while ago, but I simply forgot to post because of the excitement of making it my wallpaper..lol.

Another talented artist, Mario, is pouring sweat for his new material to come out asap and to match the high expectations that people have from him.

A while ago, his version of 'Emergency Room (feat. Rihanna)' leaked on the internet, but as he himslef declared, it was nothing official and just a random recording.
But now we have the true stuff here! The brand new Afraid 2 Cry (Hardest Moment) just leaves you speechless. The talent he has is all thrown out there and his voice does miracles on this one. The message, the lyrics, the meaning of the song and the soul he puts into his work make this one a definite winner and, hopefully, his comeback.
It's like a breath of fresh air in today's mess. Amazing track... really touching!

Cassie herself might not be a definite winner as where her voice stands, but the beat on this and the names helping her out can very well turn this song into a hot banger, 'cause it sure sounds hot. The production just says it all...

The video for Keri's fourth official single premiered today: Knock You Down (feat. Kanye West & Ne-Yo). Put simply, it's great! I just love the fact that they took the title of the song and pictured it literally in the vid. The chemistry between all these 3 superstars is perfect... and, I admit, I really didn't expect this. The idea is actually way off what I imagined. Keri looks stunning!

Anyway, the track just works better now. Wanna bet it's gonna go big?

Ciara's brand new video finally premiered this morning. I gotta say Diane Martell did a fine job. This video is HOT! As in supposed-to-be-rated hot! First of all, Ciara moves like there's no tomorrow, second of all, Justin looks great, and the chemistry between them just throws sparks all over your screen.

I'm very glad it turned out to look like this. It could really mean Ciara's big comeback, 'cause she sure deserves one!
